Standing Egg

I heard it for the first time, and very recalling, in K-drama “Plus Nine Boys” Standing Egg is an indie band that played cameo as themselves in episode 8.

Standing Egg - Uniquely, I can’t find the identity of the members as they only call themselves Egg 1, Egg 2, and Egg 3. I think it’s because they are only produce and compose the song. Then they will borrow other musicians and singers for the performances. Park Shin Hye contributes for song “Break Up for You, Not Yet for Me”.

Plus Nine Boys – It’s about four men: three brothers aged 9, 19, 29 and an uncle aged 39. They were all in love but this drama showed us which love can be fought for. 9th is only a kid so sure it’s not true love. Meanwhile, 19th is teenager who still had to focus on studying. So, go on for the 29th and 39th ^^

Not so long afterwards, I caught another ‘standing egg’ while watching Running Man episode 238.

Jihyo, Garry, and JSJ got missions to make their eggs stand together for 3 seconds. Firstly, it was so frustrating but Jihyo was amazed when she did it. And finally they succeed the mission. The eggs were standing!

It’s different from “Egg of Columbus”. My dad often played it when I was a kid. He would take a boiled egg and asked if he could make the egg stand. Sure I was very curious because it looked impossible to make that round egg to stand. Then my dad would tap the egg gently on the table while shouting “Telur Columbus!”. Tada! The egg stands by breaking it slightly. That’s exactly what Columbus did to his challengers when they looked down on Columbus’s discovery of the Indies.

Egg Balancing - In 1947, the physicist Ukichiro Nakaya verified experimentally that eggs in fact can be balanced. The shell of an egg usually has many small bumps and dimples so that, by turning the egg in different directions, it can be made to touch a flat surface on three points at the same time in many ways.
Standing an egg is not impossible. Quote: try a little harder, be more patient, and use steadier hands. Belated Happy Easter ^^

Taare Zameen Par

Taare Zameen Par ~ “Like Stars on Earth” (released 21 December 2007) is another movie from Aamir Khan that I adore after Three Idiots and Ghajini . It is really really really a touching and beautiful movie. It tells about an eight-year-old-boy, named Ishaan, who is dyslexic but blessed with excellent painting talent. Taare Zameen Par received numerous awards, including the Filmfare Best Film Award for 2008 and the 2008 National Film Award for Best Film on Family Welfare . It was India's official entry for the 2009 Academy Awards Best Foreign Film but it failed to progress to the nominations short list.

REBELDE WAY

Last many days my friend, Novalia ‘Colluci’, messaged me. She asked if the wife of Michele Buble is the actress who played as Mia Colluci on Rebeldeway. On the next day I googled and found out that she is indeed Luisana Lopilato!

TTAKJI

Ttakji ( 딱지 ) is a Korean traditional game using square-folded-paper aiming to flip your opponent’s ttakji. Men and women, children and adults can play it. I have watched Running Men enough to be curious about this game. It seems simple and easy but … First, of course, you need to make your own ttakji by the following: STEP 1: You can use any kind of paper. Prepare two pieces of square-paper in 21 cm. do the following steps for both paper pieces. Fold it into half forming a rectangle. STEP 2: Fold the top corner down and the opposite’s corner up forming a parallelogram. STEP 3: Again fold the top corner down and the opposite’s corner up forming a square. STEP 4: Put one paper on the other. Fold the triangle-corner inside one by one in anti-clockwise-movement so they hold each other. STEP 5: Slip the last triangle-corner inside so they don’t lose. Mark one side. Tadaa! You have a ttakji now ^^ Let’s challenge a frie...
