It’s ok! That’s love!

By January 28 th , I finished 16 episodes of Gwaenchanha, Sarangiya . Firstly, I was in searching for Lee Kwang Soo’s new drama when I found out that it’s also stared my favorite actress from Master of Sun . It’s interesting drama which is based on neuropsychiatry but the all of the patients’ cases and unique diagnosis are fictional. The main character, Jang Jae Yeol (actor Jo In Sung), is a mystery fiction novelist who has OCD and can only sleep in bathtub. He even has schizophrenia seeing himself in Han Kang Woo (EXO D.O.). Meanwhile, Ji Hae Soo (actress Gong Hyo Jin) is a psychiatrist with sex phobia. She can’t kiss or having sex with her bf.  I learnt things from watching it. Even I got point of view from both man and woman of how they see love.

Apple of My Eye

Happy wedding my beloved woman: it’s the note Ching Theng left for Chia Yi. That phrase refers to something or someone that one cherishes above all others. I had just finished watching a Taiwanese movie “You are the Apple of My Eye” (2011). It’s funny, romantic, touching but did not make me cry (*must be 17+). It tells about Ko Ching Teng, a mischievous prankster (he is cute ^^) who fell in love with a beautiful smart girl named Shen Chia Yi. Doing m***n in class, Ching Teng got punishment so he had to sit in front of Chia Yi. One day in English class, Ching Teng secretly lent his book to Chia Yi and got detention for her. Touching by his generosity, Chia Yi started to give him paper work so he studied at home. Every morning, by punching her blue ink pen to Ching Teng’s back, Chia Yi asked the paper work back to be corrected. It did improve Ching Teng’s study ability.

CLASSIC - and what it talks about

Malcolm Kelley (born 1992 – actor and singer) & Tony Oller (born 1991 – actor and singer-song writer). MK and TO formed an American duo with their 2 nd single “Classic” released on June, 2013. I found this cool song when I was surfing the comments left on Roommates fan page in kengsub.com … And I just realized that I missed many things in the lyric because I know nothing what it talks about ^^ Far below, you can find pictures of what this song refers to...

BRAVE !

This MV is from Sara Bareilles, entitled BRAVE ... and at the first time I saw the video, I was tearing up ... possibly because of the scene itself where some people dancing bravely and shamelessly in public place ... something interesting that I was tempted to do but can't ... there was an old man dancing in the gym ... a fat black guy dancing in library ... a guy with long hair dancing in mall ... a woman dancing on sidewalk ... a big black woman dancing in market ... so, are they brave? or shameless? however, I wanna be a part of them ^^

Emergency Couple = Emergency Daebak!

Jeongmal jeongmal jeongmal daebak! It was very very refreshing watching this Korean Drama! Even I just have been watching until episode 11 when I wrote this posting! It’s highly recommended guys ^^ You know what makes it so refreshing?! Because you can watch Song Ji Hyo cursed freely in this drama – even after shooting for Running Man, she can enjoy cursing. Watching her in this drama is just like watching the true Song Ji Hyo in RM. I’m her fan because she is figure of tough, strong woman & capable of many things. Even she is braver than men. That’s why she becomes an Ace in RM.

Frozen – Finding True Love

“Frozen” is a-2013 Disney production of musical animation which tells about Arendelle kingdom which has Elsa princess who can witch snow/ice. When she was a child, she accidentally hurt her little sister, Anna, with her magic. Since then, she locked herself in her room and creates distance with all people, including Anna.

THE BISCUIT GAME

I was watching Running Man episode 126, which was aired as the last episode in 2012, with Choi Ji Woo as the guest star. In this episode, the funny scene is when Kim Jong Kook doing his mission to obtain a star by playing “biscuit game” with Yoo Jae Suk. Biscuit game uses long-stick-chocolate-biscuit and is played by two persons. One bites and the other moves. The goal is to obtain shortest piece of biscuit after both eating them. Besides game, it is also romantic for couple. However, can you imagine if it’s the muscle-Commander who did it with Grasshopper? It’s laugh bursting!  Kim Jong Kook chose Yoo Jae Suk as his partner to do the mission. Tiger, who can’t eat sweet chocolate, chose to bite the biscuit. It means Grasshopper had to approach eating out the chocolate part.

A GENTLEMAN’S DIGNITY

For me, this k-drama delivered a portrait of men’s personality successfully: naughtiness, strength, passion, dream, maturity, way of thinking, romanticism, and stupidity as well.   It exposed life of four men in their forties, who had been friends since high school.

Queen in hyun’s man Part I – fiction romance

I should have blogged it right after I finished the movie but seems I failed ^^ This is one of Korean’s drama series that I recommended. Prita, from whom I borrowed the DVD, often asked me if I cried yet. But, really it’s not sobbing as I thought. Queen Min In Hyeon (1667-1701) was a real woman alive as the 2 nd Queen of King Sukjong. Her life often brought back to drama or poets and inspired the series “Queen In Hyun’s Man”. It’s a romance of a scholar from Joseon Dynasty (1392 - 1910), Kim Boong Do (played by Ji Hyun Woo) -   who travelled to the future 2012 by a talisman and met a new comer artist Choi Hee Jin (played by Yoo In Na), By coincidence, Hee Jin also played as Queen Inhyeon in her debut drama series. They met and fallen in love by time being together. Kim Boong Do used his chance as he was in the future to know about his fate for supporting Queen In Hyeon at that time by reading history books. Even, the history book itself changed several times since...

CHUSEOK

Last days, when tried to communicate with a Korean supplier, our manager said that it would be unavailable now since it was holidays in Korea. Yes, looking at the Korean calendar, 18 to 20 September are marked red, means it is national holidays. They celebrated Chuseok, it is mid autumn or harvest festival. Some said that it is also like Thanksgiving Day ala Korean. There is also customs for the Korean to return hometown to respect their ancestors. Our manager said it is just like Ied Mubarakh holidays in Indonesia. And the beverage being served that day for the Korean managers is below (I thought it must be the traditional/special food during Chuseok). My manager explained that these all called “tteok”, means cake.
I’m not going to deliver a sermon but just share what caught me the most on last Sunday’s sermon … It’s not the priest who had speech but one of the Church Assembly. He read texts on papers that were prepared but caught our attention with his loud voice. Even he just read the jokes without having eye contacts with the congregation. However, what he delivered was good and I want to keep it here … The verse taken was from Psalm 73 which talked about struggle and hope: how someone who had done all good things still got pain and bad luck while they who did bad things got all comfort and happiness of life. He gave the analogy of married to picture our relation with God … When you are dating a girl, you will feel that she is everything for you. She is the one who understands and matches you the most. World is beautiful because you have her. You cannot live without her. If you are a twig, she is the rose. If you are a fish, she is the aquarium. If you are sick, she is the...

TTAKJI

Ttakji ( 딱지 ) is a Korean traditional game using square-folded-paper aiming to flip your opponent’s ttakji. Men and women, children and adults can play it. I have watched Running Men enough to be curious about this game. It seems simple and easy but … First, of course, you need to make your own ttakji by the following: STEP 1: You can use any kind of paper. Prepare two pieces of square-paper in 21 cm. do the following steps for both paper pieces. Fold it into half forming a rectangle. STEP 2: Fold the top corner down and the opposite’s corner up forming a parallelogram. STEP 3: Again fold the top corner down and the opposite’s corner up forming a square. STEP 4: Put one paper on the other. Fold the triangle-corner inside one by one in anti-clockwise-movement so they hold each other. STEP 5: Slip the last triangle-corner inside so they don’t lose. Mark one side. Tadaa! You have a ttakji now ^^ Let’s challenge a frie...

INDEPENDENCE DAY

... Can You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine Just own the night like the 4th of July 'Cause, baby, you're a firework Come on, show 'em what you're worth Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh" As you shoot across the sky-y-y Baby, you're a firework Come on, let your colours burst Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh" You're gonna leave 'em all in awe, awe, awe Above is a piece of song from Katy Perry “Fireworks”. It mentioned about the shine of fireworks that ignite the light and own the night on the 4 th of July. Yes! 4 th of July is Independence Day in the United States. It is commonly associated with fireworks , parades , barbecues , carnivals , fairs , picnics , concerts , baseball games , family reunions , and political speeches and ceremonies.

Flower Boy Next Door

“Flower Boy Next Door” is the next Korean Drama series that I’m watching now. It’s about a girl named Go Dok Mi who lives like Rapunzel in her apartment because of her traumatic memory in the past. She is an editor who spends her all time doing her work and never goes out for seeing friends. However, she always peeks up for a man in the apartment just across her window using yellow binocular. And her life slowly and suddenly changes when she was being found out peeking up by this man’s younger brother, named Enrique Geum.

Taare Zameen Par

Taare Zameen Par ~ “Like Stars on Earth” (released 21 December 2007) is another movie from Aamir Khan that I adore after Three Idiots and Ghajini . It is really really really a touching and beautiful movie. It tells about an eight-year-old-boy, named Ishaan, who is dyslexic but blessed with excellent painting talent. Taare Zameen Par received numerous awards, including the Filmfare Best Film Award for 2008 and the 2008 National Film Award for Best Film on Family Welfare . It was India's official entry for the 2009 Academy Awards Best Foreign Film but it failed to progress to the nominations short list.

REBELDE WAY

Last many days my friend, Novalia ‘Colluci’, messaged me. She asked if the wife of Michele Buble is the actress who played as Mia Colluci on Rebeldeway. On the next day I googled and found out that she is indeed Luisana Lopilato!

MOS ~ part 2

Finally I had finished watched this K-drama on last Saturday, April 6. I watched it and cried a lot until midnight. That caused my eyes are swollen badly and fought with sleepiness during the next day. Watching it aroused my motivation to study again, not English but possibly Math in which I’m so lack of. Life as a student is really easy. It was right that all you have to do as a student is just study hard. And it will be a pleasure to get a sweet fruit from your hard work. This K-drama is recommended for 1 st and 2 nd grade of Senior High School with reasons: 1) It will give good lesson to face examination and motivate a lot; 2) Not late for those 3 rd grade to watch but it’s a pity if you don’t watch it earlier; 3) Those 5 main characters hopefully can represent our personality and difficulty. And there are 3 of my favorite soundtracks of this movie: Because I’m Weary; For Once; Rolling. I bring them below in Hangul – English translation. You can also refer to my attac...

M O S

It is derived from “Master of Study”, a-2010-Korean Drama aired on KBS which adapted Japanese manga “Dragon Zakura”. My friend said it is great (yes, it is) and funny (no, it is not!!!). If it’s funny, why it made me cry a river in every episode (where till today I only had watched 4 episodes!). Kang Suk Ho, a lawyer who supposed to liquidate Byung Moon high school, willingly try to safe this ‘garbage-school’ from bankruptcy by dealing with the headmistress to send out 5 students to Cheonha University, a famous college in Korea. For me, it’s really really touching. It offers 5 different background of each main character:
