CHA DO RI's Time

Reading Yahoo News for Thursday, October 23, 2014, I was interested first with the article about Ahok, the Governor of DKI Jakarta. However, what I was interested the most was the first paragraph that describes about “Diwali celebration in India House, Jalan Taman Suropati Nomor 6, Menteng, Jakarta Pusat ”. Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is celebrated by Hindu as the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. They will clean the house the day before Diwali. On Diwali nights, they dress up in new clothes and light up diyas (oil lamp) and join family puja (worship) . They also exchange gifts, eat sweets, and lit the fireworks. It is also the time for family and friends to bond relationship. Although I never come to see it myself, it sounds nice, with the fireworks and sweets. It seems like Christmas Day for me ^^ May this cheer and joy, this merriment and mirth of this divine and blessing festival, may surround you forever … Happy Dipawali ^^

September is a though month … Mount Slamet was rumbling … No rain for the season as no glimpse of hope for me … Events and birthdays came from the beloved people … Trial came with health problem as well … Planning was just plan … Suddenly I remembered of this song and was tearing up listening to the first verse … It’s so much me … BUT don’t count just the bad things … I also have to count all the good things that happen each day … SEE, God gives you more good things than the bad one … That’s how you should give thanks to God even for the smallest thing as you breath … ^^

This morning I got a gift from my friend, Irma, in the office. She just brought a wrap of tissue. And colorful candies were in the inside ^^ “These are for you to have a sweet day!” Isn’t it so sweet? Thank you, Ir ^^ Chocolate is really helpful to cheer you. Hopefully the sweetness can defeat the bitterness of my days … ^^

This MV is from Sara Bareilles, entitled BRAVE ... and at the first time I saw the video, I was tearing up ... possibly because of the scene itself where some people dancing bravely and shamelessly in public place ... something interesting that I was tempted to do but can't ... there was an old man dancing in the gym ... a fat black guy dancing in library ... a guy with long hair dancing in mall ... a woman dancing on sidewalk ... a big black woman dancing in market ... so, are they brave? or shameless? however, I wanna be a part of them ^^

Magelang is one city in Central Java which is located between Mount Merbabu and Mount Sumbing. Also it is where one of the World’s Wonders Borobudur – biggest Buddhist temple, located. Yuli and I started our trip on December 28 th , 2013 at 6 a.m. heading to Payaman, Magelang for our beloved friend, Septi’s wedding ^^ We took a small bus “Selera Masa” which is faster than usual bus. We touched down Septi’s place at 9 a.m. Then waiting for Ocha and Neny until 12 p.m. while enjoying much foods & beverages served ^^ left to right: Yuli – Neni – Catur – Septi – Ocha – Gita. Septi is a beautiful bride with her happily smiling face and perfect figure all the day long. Can you guess who are still single? ^^

Do you have calendar 2014 yet? This is my home-made calendar ^^ I made use of old Christmas cards that I kept at home. So all i need just scissors and clear tape. This area was made from 1 card mostly. Santa Claus is in the line with little Santa covering for each month. Zombie also want to celebrate Christmas.

October 4 th at 4.30 pm I was in McDonalds, Senayan, South Jakarta waiting my travel to pick me up at 5.30 pm for going back to Purbalingga. I was also in Caraka Loka Hall of Foreign Ministry to take exam for government job. Fiuh… tired and disappointed. My score is only 275 from a perfect score of 500 while most of them got 400 and below. Sure I made preparation but they must study much much more than I did. At the very first stage, I told myself that it was my holiday. It’s just to be prepared if I failed. As they always said, I did my part and just leave the rest to God. Only miracle and blessing that can make me pass this exam ^^ 

I’m not going to deliver a sermon but just share what caught me the most on last Sunday’s sermon … It’s not the priest who had speech but one of the Church Assembly. He read texts on papers that were prepared but caught our attention with his loud voice. Even he just read the jokes without having eye contacts with the congregation. However, what he delivered was good and I want to keep it here … The verse taken was from Psalm 73 which talked about struggle and hope: how someone who had done all good things still got pain and bad luck while they who did bad things got all comfort and happiness of life. Have you ever imagined trusting your property or goods or money to many people whom you don’t acknowledge well? It really happens in the factory where I’m working. The stalls where these ladies sell her food and snacks do not have CCTV or hidden camera. They trust their merchandise by believing that we, the buyers, are all honest and do not steal from them. The factory where I’m working is a manufacturer of hairpieces/wig/hair replacement. It starts at 7.20 am until 3.30 pm. In the morning, there are many ladies, who mostly work as ventilators, earn more money by selling foods or snacks. Above picture shows the situation in the morning. They use tables along the corridor to spread out their merchandise. SOFU took the pic at 6.30 am.

Last many days my friend, Novalia ‘Colluci’, messaged me. She asked if the wife of Michele Buble is the actress who played as Mia Colluci on Rebeldeway. On the next day I googled and found out that she is indeed Luisana Lopilato!

This dish reminds me of my grandma. She used to cook ‘tempe’ and tofu bacem for me. It’s sweet. That’s why I like it. And it’s very tasty to tap tempe bacem with chili. First you grind chili, garlic, and salt. After that, tap tempe bacem on this chili condiments. It’s hot, salty, and sweet as one .. yummy! All I need is just hot rice ^^ (I got hungry just to imagine this ~_~ ) However, today I want to take note when I was cooking bacem chicken with my mom. Basically, the ingredients are same. Just don’t use turmeric when you cook it with tempe or tofu.
