THE BISCUIT GAME

I was watching Running Man episode 126, which was aired as the last episode in 2012, with Choi Ji Woo as the guest star. In this episode, the funny scene is when Kim Jong Kook doing his mission to obtain a star by playing “biscuit game” with Yoo Jae Suk. Biscuit game uses long-stick-chocolate-biscuit and is played by two persons. One bites and the other moves. The goal is to obtain shortest piece of biscuit after both eating them. Besides game, it is also romantic for couple. However, can you imagine if it’s the muscle-Commander who did it with Grasshopper? It’s laugh bursting!  Kim Jong Kook chose Yoo Jae Suk as his partner to do the mission. Tiger, who can’t eat sweet chocolate, chose to bite the biscuit. It means Grasshopper had to approach eating out the chocolate part.

Do you have calendar 2014 yet? This is my home-made calendar ^^ I made use of old Christmas cards that I kept at home. So all i need just scissors and clear tape. This area was made from 1 card mostly. Santa Claus is in the line with little Santa covering for each month. Zombie also want to celebrate Christmas.

My Love (ost. Gentleman’s Dignity)

Colin sang this song while playing guitar when he decided to be self-supporting and earned money. He performed it in a public park. Being mesmerized by his soft voice and beautiful guitar performance, people were gathered and threw money. As expected, our four gentlemen came to see the son of their first love. Then there, Colin revealed his purpose coming to Korea. He was looking for his biological father who had to be one of the four. After all, it is uri Lee Jong Hyun who played as Colin. 100% genuine artist ^^

A GENTLEMAN’S DIGNITY

For me, this k-drama delivered a portrait of men’s personality successfully: naughtiness, strength, passion, dream, maturity, way of thinking, romanticism, and stupidity as well.   It exposed life of four men in their forties, who had been friends since high school.

Queen in hyun’s man Part I – fiction romance

I should have blogged it right after I finished the movie but seems I failed ^^ This is one of Korean’s drama series that I recommended. Prita, from whom I borrowed the DVD, often asked me if I cried yet. But, really it’s not sobbing as I thought. Queen Min In Hyeon (1667-1701) was a real woman alive as the 2 nd Queen of King Sukjong. Her life often brought back to drama or poets and inspired the series “Queen In Hyun’s Man”. It’s a romance of a scholar from Joseon Dynasty (1392 - 1910), Kim Boong Do (played by Ji Hyun Woo) -   who travelled to the future 2012 by a talisman and met a new comer artist Choi Hee Jin (played by Yoo In Na), By coincidence, Hee Jin also played as Queen Inhyeon in her debut drama series. They met and fallen in love by time being together. Kim Boong Do used his chance as he was in the future to know about his fate for supporting Queen In Hyeon at that time by reading history books. Even, the history book itself changed several times since he

ALONE = BOLD

October 4 th at 4.30 pm I was in McDonalds, Senayan, South Jakarta waiting my travel to pick me up at 5.30 pm for going back to Purbalingga. I was also in Caraka Loka Hall of Foreign Ministry to take exam for government job. Fiuh… tired and disappointed. My score is only 275 from a perfect score of 500 while most of them got 400 and below. Sure I made preparation but they must study much much more than I did. At the very first stage, I told myself that it was my holiday. It’s just to be prepared if I failed. As they always said, I did my part and just leave the rest to God. Only miracle and blessing that can make me pass this exam ^^

CHUSEOK

Last days, when tried to communicate with a Korean supplier, our manager said that it would be unavailable now since it was holidays in Korea. Yes, looking at the Korean calendar, 18 to 20 September are marked red, means it is national holidays. They celebrated Chuseok, it is mid autumn or harvest festival. Some said that it is also like Thanksgiving Day ala Korean. There is also customs for the Korean to return hometown to respect their ancestors. Our manager said it is just like Ied Mubarakh holidays in Indonesia. And the beverage being served that day for the Korean managers is below (I thought it must be the traditional/special food during Chuseok). My manager explained that these all called “tteok”, means cake.
I’m not going to deliver a sermon but just share what caught me the most on last Sunday’s sermon … It’s not the priest who had speech but one of the Church Assembly. He read texts on papers that were prepared but caught our attention with his loud voice. Even he just read the jokes without having eye contacts with the congregation. However, what he delivered was good and I want to keep it here … The verse taken was from Psalm 73 which talked about struggle and hope: how someone who had done all good things still got pain and bad luck while they who did bad things got all comfort and happiness of life. He gave the analogy of married to picture our relation with God … When you are dating a girl, you will feel that she is everything for you. She is the one who understands and matches you the most. World is beautiful because you have her. You cannot live without her. If you are a twig, she is the rose. If you are a fish, she is the aquarium. If you are sick, she is the

TTAKJI

Ttakji ( 딱지 ) is a Korean traditional game using square-folded-paper aiming to flip your opponent’s ttakji. Men and women, children and adults can play it. I have watched Running Men enough to be curious about this game. It seems simple and easy but … First, of course, you need to make your own ttakji by the following: STEP 1: You can use any kind of paper. Prepare two pieces of square-paper in 21 cm. do the following steps for both paper pieces. Fold it into half forming a rectangle. STEP 2: Fold the top corner down and the opposite’s corner up forming a parallelogram. STEP 3: Again fold the top corner down and the opposite’s corner up forming a square. STEP 4: Put one paper on the other. Fold the triangle-corner inside one by one in anti-clockwise-movement so they hold each other. STEP 5: Slip the last triangle-corner inside so they don’t lose. Mark one side. Tadaa! You have a ttakji now ^^ Let’s challenge a frie

Diam Diam Suka

I like this song on the first time I heard it being lived performed by Cherry Belle on one TV station. Cherry Belle is a girl band in Indonesia who has not only girls or boys but also kids as their fans. This song is so catchy and simple. One verse, one bridge, and one refrain. Repeat them … They brought Indonesian music ethnic instrument on this song. And they also performed little traditional dance for this song. Two thumbs up for these ideas ^^

INDEPENDENCE DAY

... Can You just gotta ignite the light and let it shine Just own the night like the 4th of July 'Cause, baby, you're a firework Come on, show 'em what you're worth Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh" As you shoot across the sky-y-y Baby, you're a firework Come on, let your colours burst Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh" You're gonna leave 'em all in awe, awe, awe Above is a piece of song from Katy Perry “Fireworks”. It mentioned about the shine of fireworks that ignite the light and own the night on the 4 th of July. Yes! 4 th of July is Independence Day in the United States. It is commonly associated with fireworks , parades , barbecues , carnivals , fairs , picnics , concerts , baseball games , family reunions , and political speeches and ceremonies.

Flower Boy Next Door

“Flower Boy Next Door” is the next Korean Drama series that I’m watching now. It’s about a girl named Go Dok Mi who lives like Rapunzel in her apartment because of her traumatic memory in the past. She is an editor who spends her all time doing her work and never goes out for seeing friends. However, she always peeks up for a man in the apartment just across her window using yellow binocular. And her life slowly and suddenly changes when she was being found out peeking up by this man’s younger brother, named Enrique Geum.

PENGUIN

Can you find the time to let your lover love you He only wants to show you The things he wants to learn too The hardest parts you’ll get through And in the end you’ll have your best friend Love like this may come once Baby it’s fate Like a soul mate he’s your penguin Baby it’s fate Not luck Can you find the time to let your lover hold you He needs somebody to hold to His love is strong and so true His arrows aiming for you And he’s the one that you were born to love Let go Of time for you And I Love like this is all I want Baby were fate Love like this may come once Babe were fate Like a soul mate your my penguin Baby were fate Baby it’s fate Not luck I was playing “PENGUIN” by Christina Perri. So thirsty of idea to write, I was curious why it titled ‘penguin’. It must be that penguin is a faithful animal that this song compared a soul mate to a penguin. Much less I recalled that penguin is indeed a unique an

Taare Zameen Par

Taare Zameen Par ~ “Like Stars on Earth” (released 21 December 2007) is another movie from Aamir Khan that I adore after Three Idiots and Ghajini . It is really really really a touching and beautiful movie. It tells about an eight-year-old-boy, named Ishaan, who is dyslexic but blessed with excellent painting talent. Taare Zameen Par received numerous awards, including the Filmfare Best Film Award for 2008 and the 2008 National Film Award for Best Film on Family Welfare . It was India's official entry for the 2009 Academy Awards Best Foreign Film but it failed to progress to the nominations short list.

STALL OF HONESTY (LITERAL MEANING)

Have you ever imagined trusting your property or goods or money to many people whom you don’t acknowledge well? It really happens in the factory where I’m working. The stalls where these ladies sell her food and snacks do not have CCTV or hidden camera. They trust their merchandise by believing that we, the buyers, are all honest and do not steal from them. The factory where I’m working is a manufacturer of hairpieces/wig/hair replacement. It starts at 7.20 am until 3.30 pm. In the morning, there are many ladies, who mostly work as ventilators, earn more money by selling foods or snacks. Above picture shows the situation in the morning. They use tables along the corridor to spread out their merchandise. SOFU took the pic at 6.30 am.

TRIANGULAR THEORY OF LOVE

On Sunday, April 28, the church committee who delivered a sermon at that time inserted a topic of “Triangular Theory of Love”. That really caught my attention so I also wanted to explore further here. Triangular Theory of Love is developed by a psychologist, Robert Sternberg, which divided three components of love as intimacy, passion, and decision/commitment. Further, the combination of the presence or absence of these three components forms seven kinds of love experience: liking/friendship, infatuated love, empty love, romantic love, companionate love, fatuous love, consummate love. Whereas, the absent of intimacy, passion, and commitment is what-so-called non love. Stenberg believed that all couples in love will experience intimate, passionate, and committed love. Although love quality may exist in non-loving relationship, but Stenberg’s are specific to loving relationship.

Cinta Tak Mungkin Berhenti

This is a mellow-song performed by one of Indonesian great group vocals artist “TANGGA”, means “stair”. They are Tahir Hadiwijoyo alias Tata , Mohammed Kamga ( Kamga ), Nerra Merlin ( Nerra ), dan Chevrina Anayang ( Chevrina )Three have strong vocals characteristics and Tata inserts rap lyric that make each of their songs sound colorful and give identity . Looking at the lyric, it is dreadful sad and meaningful; so deep and slice your heart. And I really love it on its chorus, both the lyric and melody. It’s about how you thankful of loving and being loved. This song is not to discourage. For me, it is to encourage instead ^^ Tak ada kisah tentang cinta yang bisa terhindar dari air mata ~ No story of love that can avoid tears namun ku coba menerima, hatiku membuka siap untuk terluka ~ But I try to accept it, I open my heart to be ready to be hurt Chorus: Cinta tak mungkin berhenti secepat saat aku jatuh hati ~ Love is impossible to stop as fast as I was f
