A GENTLEMAN’S DIGNITY

For me, this k-drama delivered a portrait of men’s personality successfully: naughtiness, strength, passion, dream, maturity, way of thinking, romanticism, and stupidity as well.  It exposed life of four men in their forties, who had been friends since high school. 

1. Colin: a teenager who comes to Korea looking for the four men and claims one of them is his biological father.

2. Park Min-sook: Jung-rok's extremely wealthy wife.

3. Lee Jung-rok: married to a rich woman, Park Min-sook, but constantly flirts with other women which causes problems and trust issues in their marriage.

4. Seo Yi-soo: a high school ethics teacher and also umpires amateur baseball games in her free time. Yi-soo has had a secret crush on Tae-san for three years.

5. Kim Do-jin: a confident playboy who meets Seo Yi-soo and falls for her. To his surprise, she doesn't give him the time of day and he discovers that she has a crush on his best friend Im Tae-san. He begins a one-sided love for the first time in his life and tries to win her heart.

6. Hong Se-ra: a pro golfer, she is Tae-san's girlfriend and Yi-soo's roommate.

7. Im Tae-san: dating Yi-soo's roommate, Hong Se-ra, but troubles arise when Yi-soo's crush is revealed and when Se-ra tells him she doesn't want to get married.

8. Choi Yoon: a lawyer who is still recovering from his wife's death four years ago but begins to have feelings for Tae-sans much younger sister, Im Meahri. Meahri has always had a crush on Yoon however he refuses to give into his feelings and jeopardize his friendship with Tae-san.

9. Im Meahri: Tae-san's younger sister and Yi-soo's past student. Meahri came back to Korea after studying in America and has an interest in bag design. She has had a crush on Yoon for a long time.

The story was quite complicated but made me always curious to watch the next and next episode. It brought not only laugh but also tears. It’s very fun watching it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Foot Note: 1) This is a come-back-movie for Jang Dong Gun after 12 years and he is still charming. 2) Lee Jong Hyun, who played as Colin, is my idol guitarist from CNBlue. 3) Firstly, I want to watch it since Kim Soo Ro played in it. 4) Yong Hwa CNBlue also appeared in one scene.
